Christ Church has roots back to the 1830s starting with a small bible study before blossoming into a faith community focused on starting new churches in Jersey City. The community has changed locations and names through out its life as it merged with other United Methodist Churches in the area before being renamed Christ United Methodist Church in the 1980s. Our mission today still is focused on education as we reinterpret scripture through the lens of everyday life.
